R.D. - ref:3a/237, the son of Nathan & Mary
Elizabeth Lack (nee Crisp).

1911 Census -  129 Drayton Road, Charlesden,
Willesden, Middlesex.   Son - aged: 15 - occ:
Clerk - born: Willesden, Middlesex.   Head of
household - Nathan Lack - Married - aged: 60 -
occ: joiner - born: Willingham, Cambridge.   Also
- Mary Elizabeth Lack - Wife - aged: 51 - born:
Gravesend, Kent.   Plus 2 siblings.

No trace of his marriage.  Married abroad?   No
idea of his connection to Bolton.

CWGC - Aged: 51, of Melalap Estate, Jesselton,
British North Borneo. Husband of Jemima Marion
Lack. Died as the result of an illness contracted
during internment in Japanese hands at Kuching,
Sarawak.

Whilst around 3.5% of British POWs died in German
captivity, the figure for British POWs that died
in Japanese captivity was 24.8% (Wikipedia).

N.B.  CWGC state that he died on the 14th MAY
1947.   Deceased Online states 14th MARCH 1947 ???
  BMDs state that he died during the March quarter
1947 in the Bolton R.D. - ref: 10b/857 - aged: 51.
  It would appear the the CWGC records are
incorrect.

LACK - on 15th March 1947 at 29 Shrewsbury Road,
Bolton.   HORACE DOUGLAS (late B.N. Borneo), aged
51 beloved husband of Mrs Lack (Minnie Mackenzie).
