R.D. - ref:: 8e/1116, the son of Robert Arthur &
Leah Rooking (nee Hicks).

In 1911, his father was listed as a 24 year old
plumber.

CWD Report No. 40.   Died at 79 Henshaw Street,
Stretford, from where his body was recovered at
12.00 noon on the 24th December 1940 and taken to
the City Road Mortuary.    His body was identified
by his brother-in-law - Arnold L.Horner, 29
Chatburn Road, Chorlton cum Hardy, Manchester and
released for burial to the Manchester & Salford
Co-op Funeral Department, Downing Street,
Manchester.    Described as being 5 feet 10 inches
in height, of heavy build, brown eyes and dark
brown hair.    Arnold Horner was married to
George's sister - Ruth Rooking.  This report is at
odds with him being killed at the Victoria Park
School???

Death registered in Stretford Borough.  Cremated
on 28/12/1940.
