"FIRE HEROES - Fire Service and ARP  personnel
crowded into the Hill Methodist Church for the
funeral of three members of the Kirkby-in-Ashfield
A.F.S. who lost their lives as a result of
fire-fighting in a northern town last week - Alan
Day of Avenue, Harry Wright of Queens Street and
Ralph Burrows of Hartley Road.   All three were
buried side by side in the East Kirkby New
Cemetery.

Commemorated in St. Wilfrid's P.C.,
Kirkby-in-Ashfield, WW2 Memorial Book and on the
Kirkby in Ashfield Town War Memorial.

Kathleen Edna Day, of 24 Wheatley Avenue,
