Born at Rochdale on the 3rd November 1904, the
birth being registered during the December quarter
1904 in the Rochdale R.D., the son of Benjamn &
Alice Brierley (nee Ayton).   There are two
possible registrations for Frank that quarter -
(1) ref: 8e/39 and (2) 8e/31.

Rochdale Observer dated 27th December 1941 -
Contains a list of a large number of Rochdale NFS
men that had received training in Artificial
Respiration under the auspices of the RLSS.

Rochdale Observer dated 21st January 1942 -
"Fireman Frank Brierley, aged: 37 of 112 Peel
Street, Rochdale collapsed and died at the N.F.S.
Mellor Street Depot.  A post mortem was undertaken
but the Coroner dispensed with an inquest.

CWGC - Fireman, N.F.S. Son of Mr. B. Brierley, of
110 Peel Street; husband of Maggie Brierley, of
112 Peel Street. Died at Mellor Street A.F.S.
Depot.

Probate granted at Llandudno on the 4th February
1942 to Maggie Brierley.   Estate valued at £670.
