Born during the September quarter 1894 in the
Macclesfield R.D. - ref: 8a/152, the son of Israel
& Ann Worth (nee Barker).   Baptised on the 7th
October 1895 at the Parish Church, Marton,
Cheshire.   His parents were residing at Oak Farm.
  His father was employed as a Farm Bailiff.

1901 Census - Yarwood's Farm, Sandle Heath, Nether
Alderley, Cheshire.    Grandson (maternal)  -
aged: 6 - Scholar - born: Marton, Cheshire.   
Head of household - Samuel Barker - Married -
aged: 55 - occ: Farmer - born: Alderley.   Also -
Hannah Barker - Wife - aged: 58 - born: Alderley. 
  Plus her younger sister and 2 domestic
servants.

Attended the Alderley Endowed School from the 26th
March 1902.

1911 Census - Fir Tree Farm, Narthall cum Little
Warford, Cheshire.   Servant - aged: 16 - occ:
Cowman on Farm - born: Alderley, Cheshire.  This
was the farm of widowser - John Callwood

CWGC - A.R.P.; of Acton Farm, Hocker Lane, Over
Alderley, Chelford. Son of Israel and Ann Worth,
of Soss Moss, Nether Alderley, Chelford; husband
of Mary Worth. Died at Acton Farm, Over Alderley.

Not strictly Greater Manchester, but they rsided
just over the border and were killed as a result
of the Manchester Blitz of Christmas 1940.

His younger brother - Israel Worth, was also
killed in  this incident.
