and Mary Ann Holmes.   Died at 145 Abbey Hills

Bomb Landed directly on this house.

Death Certificate confirms the above and states
that she was a Spinster and a retired Cotton
Winder.   It also states that:- "Dead parts were
recovered"and the certificate issued under Defence
Regulation 30A.    Inquiry was held on the 4th May
1945, the date her death was registered.

Resided at 25 Gibralter St Oldham in 1911.

Sister of William Holmes who also died.

Hannah was one of the 7 Unidentified bodies
originally buried with the Ashton family at the
Oldham (Hollinwood) Cemetery in Communal grave
Section K19 - Grave: 158/9.    These 7 remains
were exhumed in 1954 and cremated with the ashes
being placed in a casket and reburied with the
Ashton family (who were also exhumed) at the
Oldham (Greenacres) Cemetery.
