Thomas Joseph & Alice Ann Welford (nee Turner).

General Labourer.    Alice A.Welford - born: 27th
March 1898 - Married - occ: Unpaid Domestic
Duties.   Thomas Welford - born: 17th January 1923
- Single - occ: Iron Moulder.   There was just the
one redacted record at this address - could have
been Christopher or Leo or another sibling.

Leo & Christopher's sister -  Ellen Welford?
informs that her two brothers were in bedroom 
upstairs when the house received a direct hit with
an H.E. bomb.  They stood no chance.   She and her
mother were under the kitchen table and were
buried in the rubble and dug out by rescuers.

CWGC - of 50 High Burton Street, Queen's Road,
Collyhurst. Son of Thomas Joseph and Alice Ann
Welford. Injured at 50 High Burton Street; died
same day at 123 Crescent Road.

His elder brother - Leo Welford, was also killed
in the same raid and is buried in the Communal
Blitz Grave in Southern Cemetery.
