I am most grateful to Joan Gill for the following
information. Joan has undertaken some FH research
into these families on behalf of one of the
Fletcher family:-

Three generations of this extended family were
attending a Christmas party at 28 Varley Street.
Eleven of them were killed in this incident -
three members from each of the Fletcher, Shaw &
Silversides families, plus two members of the
Maycock family. They were all buried on
31/12/1940.
