General Information
Three Hayfield Village Memorials.

1. WW1 + WW2 Village Memorial sited at Bridge End.

2. WW1 + WW2 St. Matthew's Parish Church Memorial inside Church.

3. WW2 only Village Community Hall Memorial inside Hall, situated
behind the Parish Church on Walk Mill Road.

Six WW2 civilians are commemorated on these three memorials.
Only Freda Thorpe was a Greater Manchester resident, the rest were
Hayfield residents.

All killed during the 2nd July 1942 German bombing and strafing raid
on the Village.
