General Information
This damaged fire hose nozzle was retrieved from an incident at
Old Trafford and commemorates the deaths of AFS Firemen
Roy Skelton and William Hector Varah who were operating this
branch when they were killed whilst on duty.

The memorial is now in the Blitz Tableau at the G.M. Fire Service
Museum, Rochdale.

My thanks to Bob Bonner (Museum Curator) for these two
photographs.
