Leo & Christopher's sister - Ellen Welford?
informs that her two brothers were in bedroom
upstairs when the house received a direct hit with
an H.E. bomb. They stood no chance. She and her
mother were under the kitchen table and were
buried in the rubble and dug out by rescuers.

His younger brother - Christopher Welford was also
killed in the same raid, but was buried at
Manchester (Philips Park) Cemetery.
