1939 national Registration - No Trace of an ALAN
Punch. However a Frank A. Punch was residing at
17 The Circuit, Cheadle Hulme, which is very close
to where his mother and sister were residing at 86
Gill Bent Road, Cheadle Heath. Frank A. Punch
was born on the 4th April 1934 and was At School.
He was residing with retired couple - Thomas &
Elizabeth Cummings and he fits.
No trace of his father Thomas Smith Punch in 1939.
Only record is his death during the March quarter
1976 in the Congleton & Crewe R.D. - ref: 35/587 -
aged: 82 (he was born on the 23rd June 1894).
CWGC - of 35 Albert Road, Whalley Range. Son of T.
Punch, and of Mrs. B. H. Punch. Died at 35 Albert
Road.
Death registered during the March quarter 1941 in
the Manchester R.D. - ref: 8d/31 - aged: 7.
Relative - Donald Punch informs me that the family
actually resided at ALNESS Road, Whalley Range NOT
Albert Road as stated by the CWGC. However, it
appears that Albert Road, Whalley Range was
renamed Alness Road sometime after WW2, which it
is to this day.
