Death Certificate confirms the above and that his
father - Ernest Arthur Kirkland was employed as a
Tube Spinner. It was his father who reported his
death.
His parents were entertaining a Wedding Party of
about a dozen people, four of whom were killed.
The bride and groom had gone to a house a short
distance away.
Sharing a bed with his cousin - Kenneth Kirkland
(then aged 17) - Kenneth survived the bombing. |
