"FIRE HEROES - Fire Service and ARP personnel
crowded into the Hill Methodist Church for the
funeral of three members of the Kirkby-in-Ashfield
A.F.S. who lost their lives as a result of
fire-fighting in a northern town last week - Alan
Day, Harry Wright and Ralph Burrows of Hartley
Road. All three were buried side by side in the
East Kirkby New Cemetery.
