Kirkby-in-Ashford.  The son of Thomas C. & Isobel
Burrows.

Miner and his wife - Isobel - aged: 36 

1911 Census - 104 Hartley Road,
Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.   Son - aged:
10 - Scholar - born: K-in-A.   Head of Household -
Isabella Egan - Widow - aged: 47 - occ: Fish &
Chip Shop Proprietor - born: Sheffield.   His
mother obviously reverted back to her first
marriage name.  She had 7 children but had lost 4
of them.

He married - Annie Scothorn during the June
quarter 1920 in the Basford R.D. - ref: 7b/644.

record at this address.  These are probably their

Nottingham Evening Post dated 30th December 1940 -
"FIRE HEROES - Fire Service and ARP  personnel
crowded into the Hill Methodist Church for the
funeral of three members of the Kirkby-in-Ashfield
A.F.S. who lost their lives as a result of
fire-fighting in a northern town last week - Alan
Day, Harry Wright and Ralph Burrows  of Hartley
Road.   All three were buried side by side in the
East Kirkby New Cemetery.
