H. & Hilda Ainsbury (nee Shaw).
His parents were residing at 79 Station Road,
Swinton at the time of the 1939 National
Registration.
Killed by a V1 Flying Bomb. Brian was recovering
from measles and was sleeping downstairs.
The V1 came down in the back garden of 18
Woodstock Drive, demolishing Nos. 16 & 18 and
damaging others in the vicinity. Although there
were a number of civilians injured, the only
fatality was Brian.
